‘Who Pulls The Strings In The Parent/Child & Captained Ships’
A troubling trend has developed over the years in our homes and neighborhoods. Some young adults have learned how to manipulate their parents and create fear within their families. Many parents feel like they are losing the battle for respect in their homes and, consequently, their ability to influence their children positively. Similarly, many young people think that their parents are no longer relevant.
Parents must maintain relevance in their children’s lives in our current culture, where children seem to be in control. Many parents are discouraged by the negativity they face, but it’s important to continue striving to influence our young adults positively. This begins with promoting respect. Communities need to come together to help these young adults find the love and support they need.
The lack of practical tools for young parents to nurture their children’s emotional and mental well-being is a significant concern. This can lead to a lack of self-worth and self-respect in children, causing them to think it’s okay to disrespect adults.
Most young parents lack self-respect, which negatively impacts their children. We must support each other in maintaining our self-respect to make a positive change. Respect should begin at home. Teaching children to respect themselves and others from a young age can help them carry that value into adulthood and become successful and contributing members of society.
In conclusion, when children respect their parents, they also learn to respect themselves. Respect is crucial because children cannot value themselves or others without it. Children who lack self-respect are more likely to engage in harmful behaviors. Encouraging self-respect in young adults can lead to better decision-making and healthier choices. Let’s work on fostering positive behaviors and attitudes.
